It is home to almost 350 species of flora and 800 species of fauna, some of which are endangered. The park shelters four of the world's threatened species of mammals (snow leopard, serow, the Himalayan tahr and musk deer) and three of the world's threatened bird species (Western tragopan, koklass, cheer pheasants).

Detailed Itinerary (3 DAYS)

  Welcome to The Great Himalayan National Park, Shanghar Village.

  You will reach Shangarh early morning and your comfortable rooms in beautiful wooden cottage will be waiting for you. Refresh your self, have some rest and food.

  After lunch, we will visit a huge waterfall. Here water is clean & waterfall is good enough to have a bath (at your own risk). Chilled cold water will do magic to get rid of your tiredness. After enjoying the evening here, we will leave for our cottage. Here you will be welcomed with evening snacks, relaxing music & bonfire.

  Enjoy your late evening by sipping a cup of tea while enjoying the mountain view. After that have you dinner with bonfire under the sky full of stars. If you are lucky enough, you can see milky way.

  2

  Wake up !Get ready for an adventurous day. Today we are going to short hike to the mountain peak where you will get a bird's eye view of the valley.

  A beautiful day hike which cross forest area is a perfect hike to experience jungle of The great Himalayan National Park . It is surrounded by dense coniferous forest which is perfect for people wanting to enjoy the quietness and intimacy of nature.

  Reach at peak by 1 pm, Spend couple of hours there at view point, admiring the view, listening to the singing woods & watching birds around. Come back to the Village by 5 pm, your evening snacks will be ready as soon as you’ll reach back.

  Good things end soon !! Today is the last day of your trip, which is at leisure.

  Wake up, relax and enjoy the beauty of shanghar. Have your breakfast and get ready as today we are all set to explore the famed meadows of Shangarh.

  It is an impeccable sight and the Shangarh meadows appeared even more grander and wider than the more illustrious meadows of Khajjiar. Locals believes that “Pandawas” made it while finding a way to the heaven. On one end of the meadow is a temple of Shangchul Mahadev.

  Spend your day here, get a group photograph clicked & depart from Shanghar with bag full of memories.

  We will reach home early morning.
