PARVATI VALLEY is situated in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. From the confluence of the Parvati River with the River Beas, the Parvati Valley runs eastwards, through a steep-sided valley from the town of Bhuntar, in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh in Northern India. Before you step in the aura of the Parvati Valley, it is difficult to presume that tranquility and peace can waft through the air.
BRIEF ITINERARY:
Meetup at the boarding point. Board the Bus, overnight journey to Katagla Village. Katagla a small village in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh but has become the hub for backpackers, nature lovers and Trekking freaks. It is more beautiful because of its remote location and lesser people. Katagla lies right next to the Parvati river and one can hear the sound of gushing water everywhere. Here after crossing the parvati river via hanging bridges we will reach katagla village where beautiful cottages will be waiting for us.
Reach Katagla in the morning. Freshen Up, have breakfast and take some rest. Now we will make our move to explore Chalal, Kasol and Manikaran. Kasol is also called the Mini Israel of India. The place has many renowned/famous cafes to try, Kasol has a river in it’s back yard one can relax the mind there sitting next to the Parvati River & admiring the eye-catching view of the Parvati Valley & river side cafes too. Kasol is an idol place explore the real life style in Parvati Valley.
Manikaran is best known for its hot springs and pilgrim centres. An experimental geothermal energy plant has also been set up here.
Chalal is a tiny Village near Kasol. Apart from Weed cultivation, Chalal is also known for its trance and psychedelic parties. At the end of this tiring day delicious dinner will be waiting for you along with bonfire underneath the stars.
Wake early in the morning. Freshen Up, have breakfast and make your move to Barshaini which is the trekking point to Kheerganga. Kheer Ganga lies at the extreme end of Parvati valley and the last inhibited village while trekking to pin valley via Pin-Parvati pass. The place has spiritual vibes to it. It is said that lord Shiva meditated here for nearly 3000 years. The place Kheerganga got its name from the view it allows for its trekkers, of “kheer” flowing down. Kheerganga's panoramic skies and vast greenery are a much-needed delight to the trekker's eyes and especially the tired legs. It is a holy place with a hot water spring, a small temple of Lord Shiva and a bathing tank. It makes a rare combination for any trekker to bath in hot spring water when its too cold there.
We keep making our way up, stopping at cafes to rejuvenating yourself. After reaching the highest point of your trip, slip into our camps and freshen up. As the evening light fades away making its way for a sky full of stars. Having our dinner and sharing our travel stories and experiences, bonfire to toast you up. Let the fire extinguishers and the sky becomes pitch dark, catch up on your sleep. Dinner and overnight stay at camps.
Wake up early in the morning and watch the sunrise, which cannot be missed. Take a walk in the forest. Close your eyes and breath in, feel the air, listening to the birds chirping and flying free up high in the sky, get engaged with the mesmerizing nature, let Kheerganga vibes be absorbed in our body. Walk up to the hot spring bath and let your body relax and refresh, travel a little and you will find Shiva temple, which offers one of the various theories which goes behind the name Kheerganga. After absorbing the vibes we make our move downhill and bid your goodbye to Kheerganga. We make our way back to Barshaini, and then Journey to Delhi/Amritsar/Chandigarh.
