Sethan(sone ki thali) is an isolated village in Hamta valley, Himachal Pradesh. This small Buddhist village is situated at 2700m above sea level, this tiny hamlet is far away from the hustle and bustle of Manali and yet easily accessible. The panoramic view of Dhauladhar ranges and the consummating silence makes it a perfect destination for travelers who are looking for a relaxing and surreal experience. Moreover, since Sethan is a restricted area, you will hardly find any crowd en route or at Sethan.

IGLOO STAY Ever wondered what its like to be inside of an igloo let alone sleep in one? Well, Sethan offers the comfortable igloo stays and some major travel goals. Obviosuly skiing, snowboarding and igloo stays can all be enjoyed only during winters. The best time for these activities is Mid-January to April. Igloo stays may not be a 5 star affair but its an experience that definitely shouldn’t be missed. All igloo stays offer warm sleeping bags, good mattress etc., for a comfortable experience.

STAR NIGHT As sad as this maybe, but the truth is with the level of pollution and the lights all around it is just not possible to see the star studded sky in the cities. Sethan, in that regard offers a night sky that is filled with stars and the moonlight by itself lights up the mountains. How cool is that!?

SKIING When one thinks about skiing in India, the first name that comes to mind is Auli and its perfect slopes. What Sethan offers in that regard are the perfect snow powdered slopes minus the crowd. Here, you can learn skiing and snowboarding at your own pace. Lesser crowd translates to lesser waiting time for your turns, less pollution and more peaceful vibes. Detailed Itinerary (3D 2N)

• Day
  1

  • Begin by arriving at your hill facing hotel in Old Manali and check-in at the appointed time. Spend some time looking at the amazing Kullu Valley from the beautiful locations.
  • Freshen up and have your lunch before leaving for a site visit in the nearby regions.
  • River Crossing- while hanging from a rope.
  • After this adventure activity, we will visit Hidimba Temple and local markets of Old Manali.
  • After this adventurous and tiring day, dinner will be waiting at the hotel for you.
• Day
  2
  • Sethan is the main destination of this trip which has a lot to offer than a traveler can expect.
  • Get up early in the morning because today we are going to have a long day
  • Post breakfast, we will leave for sethan, which is almost 1.5 hrs drive from old Manali.
  • After settling in tents, we will leave to explore this beautiful village of only 14 families, where you can play with snow.

  • Here if you want, you can enjoy snow boarding, skiing and tube ride. We will spent some time there and start back to the camp site.
  • We will reach camp site by evening.
  • Enjoy a scrumptious dinner at the camp under the beautiful star-studded sky with bonfire. Sit around and share stories or sing and dance.
• Day
  3
  • Post breakfast we will have a short session where we will interact with locals, who will tell us the history of this tiny beautiful village that why its is called Buddhist village, why there are not more than 14 families here etc. and afterwards say good bye to this magical village.
  • Today you can take it a little slow and enjoy the laidback ambience of this warm Manali.
  • A little bit of sightseeing, some shopping and lots of lazing around is the perfect end to your action packed, memorable holiday here.
  • We will leave from Manali in late evening for home, sweet home with bag full of memories.
