Ladakh (meaning "land of high mountain passes") is a mountainous region in North India. Leh, the main city is situated at 3500m above sea level nestled in the great Himalayan, Karakoram, Zanskar and Ladakh ranges. Ladakh is known for remote mountain beauty, studded with monasteries and stupas. Ladakh is often referred as "Little Tibet" due to its geographical proximity and strong links to Tibetan culture. Leh was also the historical capital of the Himalayan Kingdom of Ladakh, the seat of which was in the Leh Palace, the former residence of the royal family of Ladakh, built in the same style and about the same time as the Potala Palace in Tibet. Leh is at an altitude of 3,524 metres (11,562 ft). The old town of Leh was added to the World Monuments Fund's list of 100 most endangered sites due to increased rainfall from climate change and other reasons.Neglect and changing settlement patterns within the old town have threatened the long-term preservation of this unique site.


Detailed Itinerary (9 Nights 10 Days)

    Arrival to Leh


    • After landing in Leh, get welcomed by our representative in a traditional way
    • Later get transferred to the hotel in a sanitised vehicle with a welcome drink at the time of check-in
    • Enjoy a hearty breakfast in the hotel and gradually get acclimatized to the climate.
    • Later in the evening, visit the Leh Market. We will keep the first day light as time is needed for acclimatisation.
    • Indulge in a lip-smacking dinner in the hotel.

    Explore Leh


    • Today we will start our day by paying homage at Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, beautiful gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

    • In your travels around Leh-Ladakh, you will come across fascinating sights which arouse your curiosity to no end. One such sight attraction is Magnetic Hill, the place where gravity takes a backseat.

    • Now, we will head towards Nimmu to see the confluence of Indus (Sindhu) & Zanskar rivers known as SANGAM.

    • Zanskar river coming from Zanskar valley of Union Territory of Ladakh meets the Indus river at Nimmu and offers a spectacular view to the visitors. Also, this is a RIVER RAFTING POINT, where adventure enthusiasts come to experience thrill of river rafting.

    • In the evening, we will visit Hall of fame, a museum constructed by the Indian Army in memory of the brave Indian soldiers who laid down their lives defending the motherland in the Indo-Pak wars Overnight stay at hotel.

    LEH TO PANGONG


    • In the morning after breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake on the Indo-China border.

    • The Lake is the highest (4267M) salt-water lake in the world, situated along the India / China border. It is about 130 Km long and 5-6 Km wide.

    • The lake is a major attraction of the region and is amongst the highest altitude saline water lakes in the world and changes colors from shades of blue to green to red.

    • Enjoy the scenic beauty with the view of the shyok river on one side and the mountains on another side

    • Featured in movies like 3-idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan, enjoy the place in Bollywood style and take a picture with famous 3-idiots scooter

    • Overnight stay at a campsite near Pangong lake

    PANGONG TO NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNGLA PASS


    • Today, we will drive to Nubra valley, driving over the highest motorable pass in the World i.e. Khardungla Pass at an awesome height of 5550 meters (18380 feet). We stop at the pass to admire and click some photographs of the fantastic view.

    • After breakfast in the Camp, prepare yourself for the ultimate adventure.

    • The journey from Leh to Nubra falls on a very scenic route Known as the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys, the Khardung-La pass is the world's highest all-season motorable road.

    • Also, enjoy the most loved snack - Maggi at the Khardungla Cafe.

    • As you descend from Khardung-la, experience the white sand dunes in Hunder, Nubra and enjoy a ride of the double-humped camel, exclusively found in Ladakh.

    • We will visit the Diskit Gompa, perched on a rocky spur above the village, with a commanding view of the entire valley.

    • Later enjoy camping the bonfire under the sky full of stars

    Nubra Valley To Leh


    • Wake up in the morning to the beautiful view and leave early as Day 5 is full of sightseeing to the massive Tibetan Buddhist monastery Gompas of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis.

    • Known to be the largest Tibetan monastery in Ladakh, visit Thiksey monastery housing several stupas, statues, and other Buddhist artifacts in its 12 story structure.

    • Hemis Monastery is known to be the most famous and rich Buddhist temple in the entire region. The Murals and frescoes here date back to 17th century.

    • Enjoy a delicious dinner at the hotel.

    • Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.

    LEH TO Kargil


    • Begin your day early with a delicious breakfast and prepare for Kargil a perfect place to take a break.

    • Visit Lamayuru monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in India.

    • Also, visit the Basgo Palace that comprises a dark red base and sky-high temples on the steep trails.

    • Starting on the Ladakh- Srinagar highway, drive to Kargil, and visit the Giant Buddha one of its kind, at the green and beautiful Mulbek Village en route.

    • Relish tempting dinner as you stargaze around the bonfire. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kargil

    Kargil To Srinagar


    • After having breakfast, get ready to start riding towards Srinagar

    • En-route, we will be passing Drass Village; the second coldest inhabited place in the world Soak in amazing views of Kargil, Tiger Hill and other famous peaks from the Kargil War.

    • Drive across the mighty Zoji La Pass and arrive in Srinagar by the evening.

    • The evening is free for your leisure. Overnight stay at your beautiful Boathouse in Srinagar.

    Srinagar to Gulmarg


    • Begin your day early with a delicious breakfast and prepare for upcoming adventures.

    • Proceed to Gulmarg, primarily famous for ski slopes and natural 18 holes golf course, which is also the highest golf course in the world. 

    • As you drive towards Gulmarg you can enjoy the splendour of nature and the snowy mountains that accompany you throughout the journey.

    • Once you reach Gulmarg, the most essential thing is to go on the Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Kongdoori and Marry Shoulder.

    • Enjoy the panoramic views floating above the valley and witness nature slowly unveiling its hidden beauty as you rise higher in the cable car.

    • In the evening, drive back to Srinagar for an overnight stay at the boathouse.

    Srinagar to Pahalgam


    • Wake up to a fabulous view of the snow-capped mountains, enjoy a hearty breakfast and check-out from the houseboat.

    • You will then proceed towards Pahalgam, also known as the valley of shepherds.

    • On arrival at Pahalgam, we will directly proceed towards the beautiful Aru Valley.

    • Aru Valley is a small village that is famous for its scenic beauty and here you can indulge in various adventure activities.

    • Then proceed towards one of the most popular tourist destinations, the Betaab Valley, which offers stunning views of Lidder River surrounded by heavenly natural charm.

    • Further, you will be visiting Chandanwari, which is famous for its snow bridge and is also the starting point of the holy Amarnath Yatra.

    • After a day full of beautiful sightseeing and thrilling adventures, return back to hotel in Srinagar and call it a day.

    • Have breakfast, check out from the hotel.

    • You will then be dropped off at your desired location in Srinagar.
